Terms of Service

epTogether Mobile Game

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the epTogether mobile game (the “App”) provided by EnrichPoint (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

These Terms are an addendum to our site-wide Terms of Service, which cover the corporate relationship, account auth, dispute resolution, and other matters common to every EnrichPoint app. Where the two conflict on an epTogether-specific point, this document controls.

1. Who can play epTogether

The App is intended for use by individuals of any age, with the following constraints:

  • If you are creating a player or caregiver account, you must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age permitted by your jurisdiction for online services.
  • Account holders making purchases or subscribing must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in their jurisdiction.
  • If you are setting up an end-user profile for a child under 13, you must be the child's parent or legal guardian and provide verifiable parental consent (handled in-app at first setup).
  • You are responsible for the activity that occurs under any end-user profile you create.

2. Your Account

  • Keep your account credentials secure. Do not share your password with anyone.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at support@enrichpoint.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that are used for fraud, cheating, abuse, or attempts to exploit the App.

3. License to Use the App

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and play the App on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
  • Modify the App or create derivative works from it.
  • Resell, sublicense, rent, or lease the App or any content within it.
  • Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to play puzzles, accumulate progress, or contribute to the shared figure on your behalf.
  • Use the App in any way that violates applicable law.

4. Advertising

The App is free and shows ads to free players between puzzle sessions. Ads do not appear during a puzzle. Children and child profiles are served only contextual (non-behavioural) ads. Subscribers to the Supporter plan see no ads at all. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

5. In-App Purchases and the Supporter Subscription

How purchases work

  • Purchases are processed through Stripe on the web, and through Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing in their respective stores. EnrichPoint is the merchant of record on the web; Apple and Google are the merchants of record in their stores.
  • Prices are displayed in your local currency where supported, or in US Dollars otherwise. Local taxes may apply.
  • One-time add-ons (themes, palettes, cosmetic perks) unlock permanently for the account that purchased them.
  • Add-ons follow the account, not the device — sign in with the same account to access them on another device.

Supporter subscription

  • Supporter is a recurring subscription billed at $4.99 USD/month or $44.99 USD/year (or local equivalent).
  • Supporter removes ads across all profiles under the subscribing caregiver's account and unlocks cosmetic perks. Supporter does not affect gameplay difficulty, progress speed, or the shared figure.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the next renewal.
  • You may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal; the current period continues until its end date.
  • Subscriptions purchased through Apple or Google are managed in your App Store / Play Store account; subscriptions purchased on the web are managed in your EnrichPoint account.

Refunds

  • One-time add-on purchases are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • Subscription periods already started are non-refundable unless required by law. Pro-rata refunds are not offered.
  • If you experience a billing issue or accidental purchase, contact support@enrichpoint.com within 30 days. We may issue a refund at our discretion, especially for purchases made within 48 hours or that did not unlock the intended content due to a technical issue on our side.
  • Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play follow the respective platform's refund policy.

6. The Shared Figure

When you complete a personal structure, a hex is contributed to a single, larger collective figure that all players are building together that round. By playing the App you grant EnrichPoint a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide right to:

  • Display your anonymous contribution as part of the shared figure, including on the public live web view.
  • Archive completed shared figures from past rounds for the App's history and community gallery.
  • Use anonymous, aggregated round statistics (e.g., “X thousand players contributed to figure N”) in marketing and product communications.

Your contribution to the shared figure is not personally identifiable on the public live web view. We do not display player names alongside individual contributions.

7. Content and Intellectual Property

  • The App, its visual design, animations, sound effects, code, puzzle generators, shared-figure designs, and all add-on content remain the property of EnrichPoint (or its licensors).
  • Purchasing an add-on or subscribing to Supporter grants you a personal-use license to that content; it does not transfer ownership.
  • The EnrichPoint and epTogether names and logos are trademarks of EnrichPoint.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or end-user profiles.
  • Use automated tools, bots, modified clients, or any technique that artificially accelerates progress, multiplies contributions to the shared figure, or undermines the integrity of community rounds.
  • Interfere with the App's normal operation, including denial-of-service attempts or excessive load.
  • Attempt to circumvent paywalls, ad gates, or the Supporter subscription without payment.

9. Service Availability

We aim to keep the App available, but we make no guarantee of uninterrupted service. Some features (cloud-synced progress, contribution to the shared figure, the live web view, purchase verification) require an internet connection and depend on third-party infrastructure (Firebase, Stripe, Apple, Google, ad networks). We are not liable for downtime caused by those providers.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that defects will be corrected. We do not guarantee that any shared figure will reach completion within a given timeframe.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EnrichPoint will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. To delete your account, visit /eptogether/delete-account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms; in such cases unused add-on purchases and the remaining portion of any subscription are not refundable except where required by law.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Effective date” above and announce material changes in the App or on this page. Continued use of the App after the new effective date constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which EnrichPoint is registered, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the manner described in the site-wide Terms of Service.
